Jerzy Kosinski

I decided to do more research on Jerzy Kosinski's life out of interest to see how loosely the fiction is based on his life. The article I read about Kosinski said that his father was forced to lie about their family to survive the holocaust. The article suggests that Kosinski was a very troubled man and a well-known pathological liar. The article goes as far to say that Kosinski referred to himself as a court jester where he would entertain his rich American friends with fake elaborate stories of Poland. I feel as if the Polish townspeople are distorted in this book for a more interesting story. Regardless, Kosinski's life was fascinating.
